My work

Selected record · 2017—present

Physicist turned entrepreneur.

I build products, communities,
and the infrastructure around both.

My work spans AI, venture, and technical ecosystems across Southeast Asia. I operate best in spaces where the problem is structural and there is no established playbook.

A few outcomes I'm proud of.

036 → 2,000+

Supported six community leaders in launching communities serving more than 2,000 active members.

A career spent moving closer to the work.

I started by studying and analysing complex systems, then moved through emerging- technology research, venture building and startup ecosystems. Today, I build companies, products and communities myself.

    OpenAI

    Codex Ambassador

I host community events and run workshops that connect corporates and local builders with Codex—helping them streamline their work and build things that previously felt out of reach.

    BaoKaLiao AI

    Co-Founder

We build practical AI systems for growing businesses: the jobs too small to hire for, but too important to keep doing manually.

    • Built an internal project-data research agent for a Malaysian-listed property developer.
    • Helped the team make better land-acquisition decisions, resulting in seven-figure cost savings.

    Southeast Asia

    AISEA

    Co-Founder

AISEA is shared infrastructure for Southeast Asia’s AI-builder communities. We help local communities collaborate across borders, pool access to partners and resources, and create more opportunities for serious builders to meet, learn and ship together.

    • Connected more than 10,000 builders across eight countries within two months of launching.
    • Built regional hackathons, co-working sessions, paper clubs and builder programmes.
    • Turned the initiative into a cash-positive business within its first six months.

    Build Club

    City Lead, Malaysia

Built a place where people can learn by building, share unfinished work and find collaborators—regardless of their original technical background.

    • Grew Build Club Malaysia from an initial group of eight into a community of more than 1,000 builders.
    • Created recurring co-building, workshop and showcase formats without external funding.
    • Supported six community leaders in launching communities of their own, reaching more than 2,000 active members.

    Byte In

    CEO & Co-Founder

Byte In was my first real foray into entrepreneurship. We bootstrapped a gamified nutrition product from zero to a working MVP, learning how to turn an idea into a company and take a product into the world.

    • Explored product design, AI-assisted habit loops, retention mechanics and building under tight constraints.
    • Made many of the mistakes first-time founders make—and learned how not to build a company.

    Endeavor Malaysia

    Senior Manager, Entrepreneur Experience

Worked on founder experience, ecosystem partnerships and strategic programmes supporting high-growth entrepreneurs.

    • Developed a closer view of what ambitious founders need beyond capital—and how institutions can become genuinely useful to them.

    Sunway iLabs

    Ecosystem and Partnerships Lead

Led strategic partnerships and ecosystem development at Sunway’s innovation arm.

    • Developed programmes connecting startups, corporates and universities.
    • Sourced and supported emerging companies and helped institutionalise deep-tech and co-building initiatives.

    Ventures Development Executive

Worked across venture development, startup sourcing, due diligence and corporate innovation.

    • Translated between startups and a large institutional environment, turning broad innovation ambitions into programmes, pilots and investment decisions.

    IDTechEx

    Technology Analyst

Analysed emerging technologies across biotechnology, digital agriculture, wearables, telecommunications and advanced materials.

    • Authored and contributed to market reports covering DNA sequencing, wearable technology, electronic textiles and metamaterials.
    • Translated early scientific developments into commercial analysis used for R&D, market-entry and investment decisions.
    • Produced vertical-farming research later cited by The Guardian, Les Echos and other publications.

    Research Intern

Studied how acoustic waves interact with metamaterials, developing mathematical models and MATLAB simulations that accounted for finite channel sizes and thermal effects.

First principles, first.

Natural Sciences — Physics · First Class Honours

Specialised in biophysics and soft matter. My master's research used computational modelling to study biofilm morphology, following earlier work in nanopore sequencing, random-walk simulations and acoustic metamaterials.

Speaking, writing and media.

I speak and write about AI, emerging technology, builder communities and the systems underneath them.

TEDxUKM · 2026

Building Humans Up in the Age of Machines

I explored why human technology communities are surging in the AI era—and how collaborative trust networks can empower regional builders to create genuine technological sovereignty.

In the age of machines, humans have become more important than ever.

I'm most useful when the problem is still taking shape.

If you are building something difficult, entering Southeast Asia, or trying to turn a promising idea into something real, I'd be glad to compare notes.
